100 Songs

That's how many will fit on my iPod shuffle. About 100 songs. October 9th I'm done here, leaving, traveling for a month, unable to change what songs are on there. So, I guess, this blog is the search for the best 100 song mix, songs you can enjoy anywhere, anytime, no matter what your mood is, or what you're doing. Any genre, but not too heavy on one artist.

4. Cold War Kids - We Used to Vacation
5. Flaming Lips - Lightning Strikes the Postman
6. Pavement - Harness your Hopes
7. Smog - Hit the Ground Running

I'm thinking Ween, Tom Waits, John Vanderslice, but which ones? And does Modest Mouse make the cut? I really used to like them. They were once one of my top 5 favorite bands, but have we grown apart (sniff)?

OK, these guys haven't been around long, but they sound like they have - Fleet Foxes. Try "Mykonos" or "White Winter Hymnal."
